Thursday Threads 🧵
I’ll start the sentence — you finish it:
When I’m overwhelmed, I tend to…
💭 🧠
When thinking about what to post today, I thought about us — parents.
Parents are juggling a lot of things at once: children, bills, school, appointments, work, car issues, side jobs — and the list goes on.
We, as parents, need to remember that our children are looking up to us — even if we don’t notice.
I was just talking to my wife about how I used to think of my dad when I was little — a king, a president, a strong male figure. That made me wonder. How do my kids see me now?
I pray that my kids see me as a good role model. But this motivates me to be a better version of myself every single day. I hope it motivates you as well.
Now, back to my sentence.
Some of us respond differently when feeling overwhelmed.
Some may cry.
Some may push through.
Some may stay quiet.
When I’m overwhelmed, I tend to either pause and think about what’s making me feel that way, or stay quiet until things get a little better. Other times, I just lay it all out to God as if He was my therapist.
