You don’t need to wait until Valentine’s to show your love. 

I love my kids because they’re my answered prayers — even on the hard days. 

My wife and I always told God how we wanted our kids, and God delivered! 

I always wanted four kids, just like my parents. My wife only wanted three. This might be the only thing I ever win at.

On top of that, I wanted twins. I even joked around with my wife during her last pregnancy, telling her she had twins in her belly. 

When the time came, my wife was scheduled for her first ultrasound at a doctor’s office about an hour away. We brought our two oldest kids with us, dropped her off for her appointment, and I took the kids to a nearby McDonald’s while she was seen.

We were eating when my phone rang. It was my wife.

She said, “Guess what?”

And deep down I had a feeling of what she was about to say.

“There’s two.”

I was shocked, happy, confused — overwhelmed with feelings I couldn’t even name. 

My wife jokes that I manifested it. That I spoke it into existence. And when you really think about it, that’s how God works. He speaks life into existence. He speaks love into existence! 

This is just one example of how God has shown up and delivered in our lives.

John 3:16 reminds us:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

He is the very definition of Love.

If we want to live that out, we don’t do it only on holidays. We do it daily — in our homes, in our relationships, and with the people around us.

Even the ones we don’t get along with.

You can start small:

Smile more. 😊

Give people grace.

Be patient in this fast-paced world. 

Love doesn’t need a holiday. it just needs to be practiced.
